Dr. Borak grew up in Alabama. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from The University of Georgia, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He attended medical school at University of South Alabama and went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. He was also fellowship trained in Gastroenterology at MUSC. Dr. Borak has been part of Gastro Savannah for 21 years and enjoys caring for his patients in Savannah and around the Southeast.
Dr. Borak enjoys all aspects of treating GI and liver conditions. He enjoys cooking/baking, traveling, golf, and snow skiing as well as spending time with his wife, two kids and dogs. “As a physician, I appreciate how gastroenterology enables me to engage in a combination of both clinical and procedural diagnosis and treatment. This approach helps me achieve optimal outcomes for my patients while ensuring a seamless continuity of care.”
